CranioSacral Therapy in Nashville
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle manual therapy that evaluates and enhancing the functioning of the central nervous system. It allows for the body to activate its natural healing response and bring balance back to the body systems.
CST works with the membranes that interact with and surround the brain and spinal cord. By using soft touch no more than 5 grams of pressure, or about the weight of a nickel, to release restrictions in the membrane system allows the body to find homeostasis.
In my practice I love to incorporate the use of weighted tuning on the body to help enhance the CranioSacral experience. The therapeutic vibration from the tuning forks helps the body to loosen and aids in the unwinding process.
